Alessi Michel, the son of Pierre Troisgros, was born on 2 April 1958 at Roanne. Today he runs the business on his own. He studied at Grenoble from 1974 to 1982, and met his future wife Marie-Pierre there when he was 16 years old. Pierre Troisgros and his brother Jean Troisgros completed an apprenticeship with renowned top chefs in Paris. In 1955, the country restaurant of Pierre and Jean Troisgros won the first Michelin star. Within ten years, it became the most popular restaurant in the region and soon it was one of the known in France. In 1965, the restaurant, now known as the Frres Troisgros, got the second star, and, in 1968, the third star. In 1972, the brothers were awarded by critics of the Gault Millau with the title " Restaurant in the World" award. Born in Munich in 1932, he studied philosophy, anatomy, graphics, engineering and economics. Within ten years, it became the most popular restaurant in the region and soon it was one of the best known in France.
