Nordic Pure 18x24x4 MERV 14 anti-allergen pleated AC / furnace air filters are made of electrostatically charged synthetic materials that are ideal to reduce airborne contaminants in your workplace or office. Particles in indoor air are measured in microns; for scale, a human hair is about 70 microns wide. Please measure the exact inside depth of your filter rack and compare that measurement to our actual depth size to ensure a proper fit. MERV 14 air filters are comparable to a MPR rating of 2800, is above the FPR rating Blue, and the APR rating Diamond. Each Nordic Pure 4” MERV 14 air filter will capture more than 90% of 1.0-10.0 micron contaminants and up to 85% of .30-1.0 micron contaminants. Each time air passes through a Nordic Pure pleated furnace filter, airborne dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander, smog, dust mite debris, smoke, and bacteria are captured and removed. It is important to note that because of this high filtration and air flow restriction, HVAC systems should be rated to handle filters of MERV 14 and above, which are not typically used in residential settings. 4” filter racks vary in depth from unit to unit. Our treated synthetic filter media prevents the growth of bacteria or mold, resulting in a healthier living space.
